The Bangkok-based ASIAN COALITION FOR HOUSING RIGHTS (ACHR) really does have the solution to Asia's slums. With a maximum budget of 58,000 US dollars per city, and a commitment to working with the energies and skills of the urban poor, this extraordinary organization is making a positive impact on hundreds of communities in 19 countries across Asia. How do they do it? Find out, at this screening of 'The Way to End Slums' - its first showing in Thailand.

Shot in High Definition in Thailand, Vietnam and Nepal, the film features the first-person stories of three activists whose lives and communities have been transformed by ACHR. There are also interviews with government leaders who've worked in partnership with ACHR - and who now agree that its approach is the best way to address some of the biggest challenges faced by Asian cities.

'The Way to End Slums' includes original animation by Why_Not Social Enterprise, the studio which created last year's YouTube sensation, 'RooSuFlood'. The film is narrated by acclaimed Thai actor and musician Krissada Sukosol Clapp.

'The Way to End Slums' is produced and directed by Trish Connolly and Brenda Kelly of Uncommon Media.
