Long-time FCCT member David Karukin passed away on June 18th. A retired United States Marine Corps lieutenant colonel, he fought in World War II, the Korean War and, based in Bangkok, served during the Vietnam war. A Dartmouth graduate with a talent for management, he was a consultant for many years to Foodland Markets, and was still working for the supermarket chain when he fell ill. In addition to maintaining his membership in the FCCT, David was also a long-time member of the Royal Bangkok Sports Club where he was a good friend and tennis partner to many old timers in the City of Angels; he will be much missed by them all.
